Love is in the air with Bofill, Moore at Andiamo

Fans of old school jazz and R&B are in for a Valentine’s Day treat when the Angela Bofill Experience featuring Melba Moore comes to the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren on Feb. 14.The show is a musical homage to the 1970s soul diva Bofill who will tell stories and share insights into her career which blossomed in the 1980s and 1990s with appearances on TV’s "Soul Train" and radio hits such as "Something about you," "Too Tough," and "this Time I’ll Be Sweeter."Bofill, 57, is still recuperating from a pair of strokes she endured — one in 2006, another one the following year — that required speech and physical therapy. She’s not yet up to singing, so the vocal chores at the show will be handled by Melba Moore, a Tony Award-winning actress and four-time Grammy nominated singer, along with a band headed by Latin flutist Dave Valentin.
